The URL of this website is http://www.onedirectionmusic.com/gb/music. This site has many purposes including promoting One Direction’s music, tours, and merchandise. The intended audience consists of One Direction fans— also known as directioners. Yes, the site did reach its intended audience, but it doesn’t have much use anymore because One Direction is no longer a band. It would be useful to find One Direction’s music on music streaming platforms because they are linked. However, the rest of the website is not really useful because they haven’t released new music or gone on tour in five years, so the information is pretty outdated. The colors and typefaces were very cool for their time; they represent a 2015 boyband well. At the time, the website would have been very appealing to me. Now the visual choices seem a little outdated. I probably wouldn’t encourage others to visit One Direction’s website unless they want to feel nostalgic about the good ole days of 1D. The website could be improved by using fewer typefaces throughout. They could also get a new merch website because the current one looks VERY outdated.
